Region 10 Education Service Center provides administrators, teachers, support staff and students with professional development and services designed for improving both workplace excellence and student achievement. This site lists several online courses and online and printed resources our departments offer. Frequently Asked Questions Do I have to pay for the online courses? If your school district participates in one or more of the Region 10 co-op programs, you may not have to pay to take certain courses. Some courses may require payment regardless of any co-op membership Courses may be purchased by credit card or purchase order. Information will be collected in the shopping cart after your selection. Region 10 ESC does not provide refunds on any fees or charges related to our Online Learning Center courses unless there was a technical issue caused by Region 10 that prevents you from accessing or completing the course within a timely manner. How long do I have to complete a course? Most online courses are set at a one year enrollment period. You can stop the course at anytime and return to finish at a later time during the one year period. Please note that the Compliance courses are reset on an annual basis in June. This will clear all existing enrollments for the course. Previous certificates from archived courses will still be available and you may return to archived courses, if necessary, through the assistance of our help desk. Please understand that some online courses have shorter time constraints, depending upon the purpose and nature of the course. What technical requirements are needed? All of the courses require you have the latest web browser. If you experience technical difficulties with a course, please try using a different browser or device, if possible. Any course may require a media player plugin such as Flash or Quicktime , a PDF reader , and/or access to YouTube . I'm having problems accessing the courses. How do I get help? If you need to reset your password , you can do so from the Region10.org homepage. What can I do to correct the issue? Troubleshooting Activity Access Issues Sometimes access to certain activities within a course may seem blocked but it could be that settings in your own browser are causing the problem. There is no harm in trying to resolve this on your own first! If the problem still persists, please submit a Help Desk ticket. What are the meanings for the different legend icons I see in the course description? Tip: If you click on an icon within the footer of every page of the OLC site it will provide a list of courses that fits that category. Courses are designed to be taken one time. Compliance courses are copied into a new course shell and updated to allow for a new completion certificate each year. Otherwise, a course will only offer one certificate with the original date of completion. May I transfer a course purchase to another person? No, transfers are not allowed.
